Originally from the Chicago area, I spent the past year in Mexico because I studied and documented murals, and the power they have to bring communities together. In Mexico, I began making my own murals and I fell in love with everything about it. The process, the interactions while working, the improvisation, the end result, the friendships built with other artists and community members. I hope to give others a piece of the joy and connection I feel while painting through my work. I incorporate many styles into my art, mixing backgrounds and letters of spray paint with the fine details in brushwork. While my work covers many themes and ideas, I find myself prioritizing genuine expressions of women in the artistic world. Women with depth, power, struggles who are more than just sexy faces to be plastered on billboards, like so many of the advertisements we are surrounded by. I try and do this by bringing elements of fantasy, boldness and playfulness into my work.

I specialize in documentary photography — observing the day-to-day lives of those around me through the lens of the camera. Inspired by studying Cultural Anthropology and Public Policy in university, I now work to apply these topics to my love of the arts. Currently, I work both in arts administration and arts production, seeking to understand how artistic mediums can be used to create social change. In addition to photography, I myself am a muralist and painter and have written a thesis on how murals can act as a tool for community building and advocacy.

Beyond this, I also work as an artistic assistant. I have served as an assistant to documentary filmmakers, audio producers, photographers, oil painters, muralists, sculptors and gallery managers. Over the past few years, I have worked as a freelance digital content developer. This has taken the form of video creation, photo editing, website maintenance, word press management and social media feed management. I have served in this role for a variety of organizations, such as the Duke Center for Health Policy and Inequality Research, Grace Roselli's Pandora's BoxX Project, and ALMA | LEWIS Pittsburgh.
I am always looking for more projects to collaborate on, murals to visit, artists to talk with or assignments to shoot. Let's talk and see what we can create!
